Endrio Leoni (born August 22, 1968 in Dolo ) is a former Italian cyclist.

Athletic career

1986 won the bronze medal in the team pursuit together with Gianluca Bortolami , David Solari and Fabio Baldato at the junior track world championships . Two years later he received his first professional contract with the Italian team GS Zalf-Euromobil-Fior .

Leoni achieved his first major success at the Giro d'Italia when he won two stages. Two years later he won the first stage of the Giro and wore the maglia pink for one day . In total, he achieved a total of 20 professional victories in the course of his career, including a stage of the Vuelta in 1994 and four stages from Tirreno-Adriatico and in 2000 and 2001 the semi-classic Scheldeprijs . He started 13 times at Grand Tours , he could only finish the Giro twice, he gave up prematurely on the other tours. In May 2002 he ended his active career.
