Daniel Guttenberger (born April 25, 1997 ) is an Austrian pool player .

Career

In July 2013 Daniel Guttenberger became European student champion in the 10-ball discipline with a 6-1 final victory over Poland's Kamil Sząszor . At the Junior World Championships in 2013 he reached the quarter-finals and was eliminated from the Swiss Daniel Schneider . In 2014 he became vice European champion with the Austrian junior national team . In October 2014 he won his first medals at the Austrian men's championship . He came third in the 8-ball , 9-ball and 10-ball disciplines . In October 2015 he reached the semifinals of the Salzburg Open . A few days later he was third in the Austrian championship in the 14/1 endless . In 2016 he again won the bronze medal in the 14/1 endless.

From the 2008/09 season Guttenberger played with the second team of the Sportunion Zwettl in the fifth class 3rd national league. In 2011 he was promoted to the 2nd national league with her. From the 2012/13 season he played in the first team that had been promoted to the Bundesliga in the previous season . In the 2015/16 season he was Austrian champion with the team and took fourth place in the individual ranking. For the 2016/17 season he switched to the PBC Billardtempel Linz .

Daniel Guttenberger's father Markus also plays pool. In the 2012/13 season they played together in the Bundesliga team of the Sportunion Zwettl.
