Daniel Hameline

Daniel Hameline (* 1931 in Nantes ) is a French educator .

Hameline holds a PhD in literature and human sciences. He was "Director of Studies" ( directeur des études ) at the Institut supérieur de pédagogie (a faculty of the Institut Catholique de Paris ) and then professor at the University of Paris-Dauphine . From 1982 to 1997 Hameline was full professor for educational theory and for educational history ( histoire des idées pédagogiques ) at the University of Geneva .

He is co-founder of the Archives de l ' Institut Jean-Jacques Rousseau and the working group on school and pedagogical history of the Société suisse pour la recherche en éducation . One of his best-known writings is Les objectifs pédagogiques en formation initiale et continue.
