Daniel Iversen (born July 19, 1997 ) is a Danish football goalkeeper . He is under contract with Leicester City in England, is currently on loan to the Belgian club Oud-Heverlee Löwen and is a Danish junior international goalkeeper.

Career

In January 2016 Iversen left the Danish club Esbjerg fB and joined Leicester City from the English Premier League . After playing for both the U21s and the U23s, he moved to Oldham Athletic in the Football League Two on loan for a year in July 2018 . He also extended his contract term with Leicester City until 2021. Iversen played his first game in professional football on August 4, 2018 in a 2-1 home defeat on matchday one against Milton Keynes Dons . At Oldham Athletic he was a regular goalkeeper and completed all 42 point games, he was also used in one game in the League Cup and four games in the FA Cup .

In mid-August 2020, a loan was agreed with the Belgian first division Oud-Heverlee Löwen for the 2020/21 season.

National team

From 2012 to 2013 Daniel Iversen played eight times for the Danish U16 national team and took part in the Mercedes Benz Aegean Cup with them. In the meantime, he made his first appearance for the U17 , for which he played twelve games until 2013. Having played for the U18 national team in 2013 and 2014 , Iversen made his debut for the Danish U19 national team in 2014 and has played 17 games since then . After four games for the U20s between 2016 and 2017, he made his first appearance for the Danish U21 national team on August 31, 2017 in a 3-0 victory in the European Championship qualifier in Torshavn against the Faroe Islands .
