Daniel Joncktys (also Daniël Jonctys or Jonctijs ; * 1600 in Dordrecht , † 1654 in Rotterdam ) was a Dutch medic and poet .

Little is known about Jonckty's life. He first practiced as a doctor in Dordrecht . It was there that he began his literary work. As a poet, he wrote minstrels . His writings were characterized by satire and criticism, so he also wrote against torture or sorcery . His satirical poem Hedendaegse Venus de Minerva from the year 1641 brought him in Dordrecht an excommunication and meant that he moved in 1643 to Rotterdam.

Joncktys was in Rotterdam for aldermen elected and remained there until his death.
