Daniel Küng

Daniel Küng (born October 7, 1952 in Ittigen near Bern , legal domicile in Zurich ) is a Swiss manager and former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Swiss organization for foreign trade promotion Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE), which was named until spring 2013 Osec wore.

Life

Küng grew up in Ittigen and Bern. From 1959 to 1972 he attended schools in Ittigen (BE), Gstaad (BE) and Bern, where he completed the cantonal commercial school-leaving certificate in 1972. He then studied economics and business administration from 1973 to 1979 at the University of Bern , the Universidad Central del Ecuador and the St. Gallen University of Commerce , where he graduated in 1979 with a focus on finance and accounting. After completing his studies, he worked from 1980 as assistant to the executive board and office manager of the sales director at Mercedes-Benz do Brasil in São Paulo . In 1982 he founded the company "Agrosuisse Lda." In São Paulo and was a managing partner there. In 1987 he sold his stake and moved to Portugal, where he founded various companies and built them up as a co-managing partner, including the management consulting firm CGI Wolfram, Küng & Associados and the Response Group, which is active in the pharmaceutical sector, and which also includes Prévis Lda . and Kiron SA. belonged. Memberships

Küng was a board member of the Swiss-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce from 1997 to 2004 and its president from 2001 to 2004. In addition, from 2002 to 2007 he was a board member of SwissCham, the umbrella organization of the Swiss Chambers of Commerce. He also chaired the Swiss Health Association from 2009 to 2010 and sits on other committees and economic interest groups. In his free time he is a passionate jogger, squash player and stand-up paddler. He enjoys hiking in the mountains, historical literature and collecting vintage ports.
