Daniel Matt (* 1976 in Feldkirch ) is an Austrian politician ( NEOS ) and bank employee. Matt was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament from 2017 to 2019 .

education and profession

Daniel Matt studied business administration at the University of Innsbruck and graduated with the Diploma of Master of Social and Economic Sciences from. Matt works as the head of the credit department at Raiffeisenbank Vorderland eGen .

Political activity

Daniel Matt started his political career as a member of the community council of Zwischenwasser , of which he belonged for nine years. After the NEOS - Das Neue Österreich party was founded in the run-up to the 2013 National Council election , Matt became a founding member of NEOS in Vorarlberg . In the state elections in Vorarlberg in 2014 , Daniel Matt ran for third place on the NEOS state list, behind Sabine Scheffknecht and Martina Pointner .

After Martina Pointner announced her departure from politics in June 2017, Matt was nominated by the NEOS state executive as her successor in the state parliament. He was finally sworn in as a member of the state parliament in the state parliament session on October 4, 2017 and thus one of two members of the NEOS state parliament group. In the state parliament he took over the agendas as area spokesman for waste management, finances, local politics, economy, energy, sport, culture, agriculture, health, animal welfare, family, social affairs, the disabled, care, consumer protection, hunting & forestry, youth, environment and water.

After the state elections in 2019 , he left the state parliament.
