Daniel Alexander Norl (born March 7, 1995 in Würzburg ) is an American - German basketball player .

career

The son of a German and an American was born in Würzburg and grew up in the US state of Tennessee . As a student, he ran for the basketball team at Kenwood High School in the city of Clarksville . In 2014, the Norl, who could be used in game positions one and two, moved to Eastern Kentucky University in the first NCAA division. There he only made eleven appearances and an average of 1.1 points in the 2014/15 season. Norl continued his career in the 2015/16 season at Mineral Area College (State of Missouri ), where he played 31 games on the field and achieved averages of 10.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2 assists. For the 2016/17 season he made another change of university and was henceforth for the team of the University of Nebraska Omaha and thus again in the first division of the NCAA in action. In his second year in Nebraska, he made the leap to the leading player when he was part of the starting line-up in all of his 31 season appearances and scored an average of 12.8 points per encounter, collected 3.4 rebounds and prepared 2.5 basket successes for his fellow men. With 44 three-point throws and a hit rate of 35.5 percent, he was the second best long-range shooter in his squad.

He signed his first contract as a professional basketball player with the English first division club Cheshire Phoenix . Norl was one of the team's top performers in the 2018/19 season and scored an average of 14.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 31 league games. The latter was the team maximum. At the end of June 2019 he was signed by the German second division PS Karlsruhe  .
