Daniel "Danny" Reiss (born August 24, 1982 in Hanover ) is a German ice hockey player who last celebrated his comeback with the Hanover Scorpions in 2019/2020. In the 2015/2016 season he was under contract with the Hanover Indians in the Oberliga Nord . His brother André is also a professional and former national ice hockey player.

Career

Danny Reiss began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at the Hannover Indians , he for the 1999 to 2007 in the Regional and the league was active. In the 2002/03 season he also made his debut in professional ice hockey for the Hannover Scorpions , when he was on the ice in three games in the German Ice Hockey League .

After a year break, Reiss went to France, where he played for one year each for the Aigles de Nice and the Galaxians d'Amnéville in the second-rate Division 1 from 2008 to 2010 . For the 2010/11 season he received a contract with his ex-club, the reigning German champions Hannover Scorpions, where he played together with his brother. For the 2011/12 season, Reiss moved to the new league club Herford EV before he signed a contract with the Kassel Huskies in December 2011 until the end of the 2012/13 season.

As a result of an injury from the pre-season season in autumn 2015, Reiss was injured for the entire 15/16 season.

In 2019 Reiss celebrated its comeback
