Career

André Reiss began his career with the Hannover Indians , where his father worked as a coach and his brother played. The defender joined the DEL - 2002/03 to the Hannover Scorpions , for which he held until 2013 , with the exception of the 2003-04 season that the links contactors when the Oshawa Generals of the Canadian junior league OHL , was spent under contract. Equipped with a sponsorship license , Reiss played in the 2005/06 season for his home club Hannover Indians and in the 2004/05 seasons and 2006/07 seasons for the cooperation partner REV Bremerhaven in the 2nd Bundesliga . In his last season at REV, however, there were differences between Reiss and the Bremen team, so the Hanover Scorpions decided to equip the defender with a license to support the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg , for which he finally beat the decisive goal in the second play-off final scored the Kassel Huskies and thus had a large share in the Wolfsburg's rise to the DEL.

For the 2007/08 season , the defender was equipped by the Scorpions with a support license for the second division EHC Munich , for which he was on September 2, 2007 in the first round of the DEB Cup in the 5-3 victory of EHC Munich against Nuremberg Ice Tigers played his first game, but otherwise only played once and spent the rest of the season in the DEL. Since the native Hanoverian is a fan of Hannover 96 , André Reiss chose the 96 as his jersey number.

Reiss was German champion with the Hannover Scorpions in the 2009/10 season . The defender contributed to this success with 23 points in the main round and achieved the best result of his DEL career. In autumn 2011 he would have to take a break of several weeks due to an exhaustion syndrome and could therefore only play 38 of 52 games in the 2011/12 season . The 2012/13 season was also marked by illness-related absences for André Reiss. The defender fell ill with glandular fever and was only on the ice in 40 of the 52 games for the Hannover Scorpions. Due to the illnesses he could not build on his performances from the championship season. After ten seasons with the Hannover Scorpions, in which he played 393 games, André Reiss decided to move to league rivals Augsburger Panther for the 2013/14 season . There he signed a one-year contract.

After the 2014/15 season, Reiss and Patrick Seifert moved to the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg .

International

At the Skoda Cup in Lausanne , Andy Reiss was appointed to the German national team for the first time by national coach Uwe Krupp in February 2008 .
