Daniel Sharplin (born July 29, 1972 in Ashburton ) is a former New Zealand squash player .

Career

Daniel Sharplin was active as a squash player in the 1990s. His highest placing in the world rankings was ranked 76th with the New Zealand national team he took in 1995 , 1997 , 1999 , 2001 and 2003 at the World Cup in part. At the Commonwealth Games in 1998 and 2002 he was also part of the New Zealand squad. In 1998 he competed in doubles with Paul Steel and in 2002 with Carol Owens in mixed. Sharplin represented New Zealand at the 1997 World Games , where he was eliminated in the group stage. In 2002 he was New Zealand national champion .

After his career as a player, he began to work as a squash coach in the United States, among other places.
