Daniel Staniszewski (born May 5, 1997 in Ciechanów ) is a Polish cyclist who competes in road and track races .

Athletic career

Since 2014 Daniel Staniszewski has been internationally active, especially in track cycling. In the first year he won the bronze medal in the single pursuit at the Junior European Championships . In 2015 he was successful in international junior competitions: at the junior world championships he was runner-up in the pursuit of the world champion , and at the junior European championships he won the single pursuit title. In the four he took third place with Dawid Czubak , Szymon Krawczyk and Mikolaj Sojka . He was also a two-time Polish champion in the elite (single pursuit and scratch ). The following year he was Polish champion in two-man team driving with Norbert Banaszek . At the 2017 World Cup race in Glasgow , he set a new Polish record with 4: 18.217 minutes and improved Adrian Tekliński's record from the previous year (4: 20.05) by almost two seconds.

In 2017 Staniszewski and Wojciech Pszczolarski won bronze at the European Railway Championships in Berlin in a two-man team. At the junior U23 European Championships he was also successful with two bronze medals (single and team pursuit).
