Daniel Tellander (born July 6, 1983 in Stockholm ) is a former Swedish handball player . He last played in the Swedish Elitserien at Alingsås HK .
Career
Tellander began his career at the Swedish club HK Silwing / Troja. He then played for Handens HK and the Stockholm clubs Hammarby, Söder and Djurgården; in the latter he made his debut in the Swedish first division, but was relegated in 2006. He then moved to Alingsås HK. There he played in the Swedish elite league and was one of the most dangerous players with an average of six goals per match. Several clubs in Germany and Spain had tried to get Tellander before he signed his contract with MT Melsungen on August 11, 2007. In Melsungen he plays on the left wing . In the summer of 2010, Tellander left Melsungen and joined Borås HK. In the summer of 2011 he returned to Alingsås. With Alingsås he won the Swedish championship in 2014. In 2018 he ended his career.
Daniel Tellander was in the extended squad for the Swedish national team for the 2014 European Handball Championship in Denmark. He has played 16 international matches so far , scoring 35 goals.
