Daniel Valo (born May 7, 1979 in Topoľčany , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak handball player . He is 2.03 m tall.
Valo, who plays for the Slovak national team, is mostly used in the right backcourt .
Daniel Valo played for SKP Piešťany in his youth. He later moved to SKP Bratislava, where he also made his debut in the Slovak first division. In 1999 he went to SKP Frýdek-Místek in the Czech Republic and in 2003 to BSV Bern Muri in Switzerland . In 2005 he joined the German Bundesliga club MT Melsungen before moving to HSG Wetzlar in 2009. After he had not played a competitive game for the HSG until February 2014 due to a torn cruciate ligament that he suffered during the preparation for the 2013/2014 season, his contract, which expired at the end of the 2013/14 season, was not extended.
With the Slovak national team he took part in the European Championships in Switzerland in 2006 and in Serbia in 2012 , but failed in the preliminary round. He was on the squad for the 2011 World Cup ; by December 2011 he played 135 international matches , in which he threw 520 goals.
