Daniela Wolf

Daniela Wolf (born March 4, 1988 in Feldbach ) is an Austrian scientist and lecturer.

Live and act

Daniela Wolf grew up as the daughter of a cleaner and a construction worker in Styria . She graduated from the Federal Commercial Academy and Federal Commercial School Feldbach . She then completed her computer science management and didactics studies at the Technical University of Vienna and the University of Vienna , education at the Danube University Krems and applied knowledge management at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland .

Wolf began her professional career as the architect of the online campus of Ferdinand Porsche FernFH , where she set up the E-Learning & Web Support Center and managed it until the beginning of 2017. She caused a media stir when she campaigned for the refugee crisis on a private initiative and founded the Welcomingtours.at platform for networking between Austrians and refugees in summer 2015. In 2016, the social start-up refugees {code}, a programming school for refugees, was founded together with Stefan Steinberger and Alexander Hartveld.

Since 2016 she has been the initiator of Austrian Edupreneurs, a place for events and education related to EdTech.

At the end of 2017, Wolf returned to Ferdinand Porsche FernFH as a research assistant on the master’s degree in business informatics , where she also works as a lecturer. She wrote several scientific articles, including on integration in Austria, especially on the role of coding schools for refugees, but also on e-learning.

Awards

  • In 2018 Wolf was on the Austrian Forbes list "30 under 30" with the social enterprise refugees {code} initiated by her, Stefan Steinberger and Alexander Hartveld. It was also recognized as one of five emerging social businesses at the Social Impact Award 2017 and received the HR Award as Newcomer of the Year 2017. In addition, it found itself in the final round of the Deloitte Future Fund 2016 together with five other initiatives.
  • In 2019 Wolf was nominated for the National Global Woman Award in the "Global Woman Honorary" category.
