Daniele Fagarazzi (born October 3, 1944 in Milan , Italy ; † July 29, 2019 there ) was an Italian comic artist .

life and work

Fagarazzi began his drawing career in 1960 in the animation studio of the brothers Nino and Toni Pagot , where he worked until 1966. The next two years he worked for smaller animation agencies that were based in the advertising industry. Fagarazzi made his debut as a comic artist in 1968 when he drew various horror comics for the Sansoni publishing house. In 1970 he began to draw for Corriere dei Ragazzi and took over from Carlo Peroni Zio Boris , whom he drew to texts by Alfredo Castelli . Fagarazzi's own new series at this time were Tilt and Otto Krunz , also on texts by Castelli. During this time, Fagarazzi also drew the Italian Asterix calendar for the Mondadori publishing house . In the mid-1970s he drew, among other things, the comic adaptation of Calimero and in the late 1970s the comic adaptation of Sandokan in Corriere dei Ragazzi . During the same period, Fagarazzi also drew several episodes of Uomo Ragno for Supergulp! . In the 1980s he worked in both comics and advertising. In the 1990s, Fagarazzi was artistic director of the Italian branch of Warner Bros.
