Danijel Štefulj (born June 2, 1973 in Čakovec ) is a former Croatian football player who was last active for the Austrian club SC Wiesen.

Štefulj began his professional career at NK Čakovec before moving to the first division for NK Varteks . There he was a key figure in the defense until the 1995/96 season, when Dinamo Zagreb had poached him for free. At the beginning of the 1999/2000 season, his compatriot, Branko Ivanković , brought him to his then club Hannover 96 for 150,000 euros . He stayed there until the winter break of the 2003/04 season before he was loaned to 1. FC Nürnberg . After half a year he was able to celebrate promotion to the first division with Nuremberg, but he returned to Hannover 96, where he was hardly used in the following season. A year later his path took him to SC Paderborn 07 , but already during the winter break in 2005/06 he moved on to Rot-Weiss Essen , in whose service he was until January 11, 2007. He then moved to NK Medjimurje , in his home country, and ended his active career there in the winter of 2007/08. He played two internationals for the Croatian national team .
