Danko Marinelli (born May 30, 1987 in Rijeka ) is a Croatian ski racer .

Career

Marinelli contested his first FIS race in November 2002. From 2004 to 2007 he took part in the Junior World Championships, his best result was 31st place in the giant slalom in 2005. This year he also started at the World Championships in Bormio in slalom and in Giant slalom, but did not finish in any of the races. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin , he started in slalom, but failed in the first round. At the 2007 World Cup , he finished 41st in the giant slalom, but he could not finish the slalom again.

On January 6th, 2009 the Croatian had his first and so far only start in the World Cup . In the Zagreb slalom he was in 38th place after the first run and did not qualify for the second run. At the 2009 World Championships in Val-d'Isère , he came in 53rd place in giant slalom, and dropped out in the first round in slalom.
