Dante Boninfante (born March 7, 1977 in Battipaglia ) is an Italian volleyball player .

Career

Boninfante began his career in 1994 in the youth of Sisley Treviso . After he had played a season in the first team at the end, he moved to Com Cavi Napoli in 1997 . He then went to second division club Caffè Motta Salerno for a year before returning to Treviso in 1999. With Sisley, the setter won the Italian Cup in 2000. In the same year the club won the final of the Champions League against VfB Friedrichshafen in front of a home crowd . 2001 Treviso was Italian champion and Boninfante made her debut in the national team . He then moved to Volley Ferrara . His next clubs were Acqua Paradiso Montichiari and Marmi Lanza Verona before joining Copra Piacenza in 2007 . With Piacenza he won the national championship in 2009. In the 2010/11 season Boninfante played for Sisley Treviso for the third time and won the CEV Cup with the club . With the national team, the setter reached the final of the European Championship . He then moved to his current club, M. Roma Volley . In 2012 he won the bronze medal with Italy at the Olympic Games in London .
