Darius Užkuraitis

Darius Užkuraitis (* 1966 ) is a Lithuanian musicologist, founder and director of the “ LRT Opus ” program at Lietuvos radijas ir televizija , commentator of the Eurovision Song Contest , jury member at music competitions.

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Soviet Lithuania , Užkuraitis graduated in 1991 with a degree in music theory with Lietuvos konservatorija in Vilnius . He works at LRT Radijas as editor-in-chief of the youth program “ LRT Opus ” and is the presenter of the radio show “Antroji pavara” (LRT Radijas). He also worked as a moderator for “ Laisvoji banga ”, “ M-1 plius ” and headed the company UAB “Radiola” (“Laba's FM” program). He works for the daily newspapers “ Lietuvos rytas ”, “ Respublika ”, and the cultural journal “ Kultūros barai ”. He has been commenting on the ESC finals since 2001. He is the moderator of concerts at jazz festivals “ Vilnius Jazz ”, “ Mama Jazz ”, “ Birštonas Jazz ” as well as a juror of music competitions.

Užkuraitis has a relationship with Nijolė Statkutė.
