Dariusz Oko

Dariusz Oko (born June 3, 1960 in Oświęcim ) is a Polish Roman Catholic priest, theologian, philosopher and publicist.

Dariusz Oko was ordained a priest on May 14, 1985. In 1991 he successfully defended his doctoral thesis at the Pontifical Gregorian University . Since 1992 he has been a research assistant at the John Paul II Pontifical University in Cracow and resident in the Saint Hedwig parish there. In 1996 he defended his second theological doctoral thesis at the Kraków John Paul II University. In 2011 he received his habilitation in philosophy .

He takes part in two research projects of the Chair for Epistemology at the Philosophical Faculty: "Epistemological foundations of metaphysics and gender philosophy " and "Between skepticism and agnosticism as well as nihilism. Theoretical conditions of nihilism ”.

The Salzburg auxiliary bishop and moral theologian Andreas Laun appealed to Dariusz Oko in 2014 regarding the right of adoption for homosexual couples .

He works as a pastor for the medical community of the Archdiocese of Krakow.

Because of his radical positions, he is often invited to televised discussions with representatives of moderate opinions.

Dariusz Oko severely criticized the Catholic weekly magazine " Tygodnik Powszechny " for its indecisive position on gender issues.
