Darko Krezic

Darko Krezic (born May 17, 1977 in Zenica , Yugoslavia ) is a former German basketball player. During his career, the 1.97-meter-tall winger played with the Bundesliga clubs DJK s. Oliver Würzburg and Mitteldeutscher BC under contract and completed 109 appearances in Germany's top division. Today he lives as a musician in Hamburg .

career

Krezic comes from a Croatian family who left Banja Luka in Bosnia in 1992 due to the war and moved to Hollern in northern Lower Saxony . He played basketball at VfL Stade before moving to SC Rist Wedel in the 2nd Bundesliga in 1996 . There he developed into a high performer in the years to come and attracted the attention of the Bundesliga club . In 1999 he was taken over by the first division club DJK s. Oliver Würzburg committed, for whom he played until 2002 and was temporarily active at the side of his younger brother Zoran . In the 2002/03 season Krezic also ran in Germany's top division for the Central German BC and then strengthened the second division ART Düsseldorf Magics in the 2003/04 season .

After the end of his professional career, Krezic studied economics and politics in Hamburg from 2005 and worked as a music producer and composer. Among other things, he wrote the music for the film Chiko . In addition, he worked temporarily as a trainer together with his former Wedel and Würzburg teammate Marvin Willoughby as part of basketball camps.
