Darkwell is a symphonic metal - band from Innsbruck ( Austria ), which was founded in 1999 by Roland Wurzer and Roman Wienicke.
history
Darkwell got a record deal with Napalm Records the year they were founded . The following year they toured with Tristania and The Sins of Thy Beloved .
Due to their success, they were invited to the Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2003 and then went on tour with Graveworm and Vintersorg . In 2004 Darkwell were on a European tour with a new line-up with Atrocity , Leaves Eyes and Battlelore , which also included an appearance at the Metal Female Voices Fest . Videos of the band were played on music channels (e.g. VIVA ).
After the release of the album Metat [r] on , which was delayed by two years, activities subsided . The last concert took place in 2007.
In September 2016, after a long break and a label change, their third studio album Moloch was released on Massacre Records.
