Metal Female Voices Fest
The Metal Female Voices Fest is a metal festival in Wieze, a district of the municipality of Lebbeke in East Flanders ( Belgium ). It's a metal festival dedicated to bands with front women . It took place in 2009 on October 17th and 18th in the October halls, the large hall of which is 4000 m².

The increasing popularity of metal bands with front women also brought growing popularity to the Metal Female Voices Festival. So the location changed from Ten Weyngaert in Forest via the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels to the October halls in Wieze. The smaller hall Ten Weyngaert is still used for the warm-up show. In 2007 the band Leaves' Eyes used the atmosphere to record a live DVD (We Came With The Northern Winds / En Saga I Belgia), which was released in 2009.
The front women have so far been Doro Pesch , Tarja Turunen , Liv Kristine , Simone Simons , Floor Jansen , Sabine Dünser , Cristina Scabbia , Vibeke Stene, Monika Pedersen and many others.

The Metal Female Voices Fest V Warm-Up Show (2007) won Markize and Kells .

Since 2007, the Metal Female Voices Fest has started a few days before the actual concert days with a warm-up show in which even lesser-known bands compete against each other. The winner has the honor of opening the next year's Metal Female Voices Fest. The Metal Female Voices Fest VI Warm-Up Show (2008) won Whyzdom .

In 2009, Tarja , Doro , Leaves' Eyes , Epica , Delain , Midnattsol , Krypteria , Flowing Tears , Autumn , Amberian Dawn , Kivimetsän Druidi , Manic Movement, UnSun , Whyzdom, Pinky Doodle Poodle, Trail of Tears , Van Canto , Darzamat performed , Stream of Passion , Deadlock , Lahannya , Coronatus and To-Mera .
In 2009, MFVF Awards were presented for the first time. Tarja Turunen was awarded in the best & beautiful voice category, Angela Gossow in the best grunts & growls category, Epica for the best show, Doro Pesch for her musician career, Van Canto as the best newcomer, Midnattsol as the greatest "MFVF" Hope, "En Saga I Belgia "by Leaves' Eyes won best DVD," Call Me When You are Sober "by Evanescence won best video," The Heart of Everything "by Within Temptation won best album and" Dark Passion Play "by Nightwish won for the best artwork.
