At the age of 14, Christoph Schlingensief filmed the Larry Brent novel 'The House of the Dead of Lady Florence' (1969). Shot in 1974 in Oberhausen and the surrounding area, the film is considered to be one of the director's first works. In the opening credits, the direction is given as 'Christoph Shlingensief' due to a typographical error. The Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln also broadcast the film on TV. The film distributor 'Filmgalerie 451' offers the film as a download or stream .
Reviews
"Groovy 70s cine film with crazy car chases, smart camera ideas and nice details."
"But time and again there are small ideas, details and settings that delight, and not to forget numerous sequences that inadvertently document the Oberhausen flair of the 70s."
