action

Dr. Samuel Jordan, Susan's father, is an archaeologist looking for a lost Aztec treasure. When he does not return, his daughter (who shares his passion) becomes worried and immediately moves out with a handful of other archaeologists to look for him. In doing so, they gradually come across both living and formerly living and never living traces of his journey, which ultimately led to a hidden valley in the Grand Canyon. There they discover both Samuel and another survivor who is about to be sacrificed on an Aztec altar - the Aztecs in the interior of the valley still live with loincloths and stone spears while they nourish and worship their god Quetzalcoatl, who has risen in demonic form. Unfortunately a stone door locks behind them and so they are stuck in the valley for the time being. In order to open the way back from the valley later, the (still living) archaeologists need a key from the "treasure chamber" inside Quetzalcoatl's temple.

criticism

"Unimportant adventure film with a ridiculous plot, overwhelmed actors and special effects that also seem to come from times long past."
