action

A young sculptor gets to know and love Norina, a beauty. She becomes his muse. When a prince was commissioned to create a statue of Our Lady for a new chapel, he used her as a model. The sculptor is so fascinated by his work that he kneels in front of it and begins to pray. Norina, who doesn't like it at all, throws the statue into the nearby river out of sheer jealousy. The chapel is to be inaugurated, but neither sculptors nor statues show up in time. However, after the sculptor arrives late, the statue comes to life, emerges from the river and goes into the chapel to the place reserved for it. Standing in front of her, the sculptor sinks dead to the ground.
