The Data ( en: Mount Data ) is a mountain with a height of 2187 m on the island of Luzon , Philippines . It is located in the central part of the Cordillera Central in the southeast of the Mountain Province , not far from the Halsema Highway and the border with the Benguet Province . The next big city is Baguio City , about 50 kilometers south.
The Data is known, among other things, that the three great rivers Agno , Abra and the Rio Chico have their sources on its mountain flanks. In the forests on the mountain have so far been endemic and surviving only on Data Luzon broad-toothed rat ( Abditomys latidens ) and the Luzon tree rat ( Carpomys melanurus ) discovered. The area around the mountain was declared Mount Data National Park in 1940 on an area of 33.52 km² .
