Datthausen is a district of the municipality of Obermarchtal in the Alb-Danube district in Baden-Württemberg . The hamlet is located about two kilometers southwest of Obermarchtal and can be reached via the federal road 311 and the country road 271.
history
The place on the Danube was created during the Merovingian land expansion. In the 13th and 14th centuries, the lords of Stein in Datthausen had their seat on the abandoned castle. The rule probably went from the Counts of Berg or the Lords of Stein, perhaps together with the castle in 1377 and 1390 to the Obermarchtal monastery .
In 1932 Datthausen was incorporated into the municipality of Obermarchtal.
