Daventry is a district in the county of Northamptonshire in England . The administrative seat is the city of Daventry . Other significant places are Braunston , Brixworth , Kilsby , Long Buckby and Weedon Bec .
The district was formed on April 1, 1974 and was formed from the merger of the Municipal Borough Daventry, the Rural District Daventry and most of the Rural District Brixworth.
