South Northamptonshire is a district in the county of Northamptonshire in England in the United Kingdom . The administrative seat is the city of Towcester . Other significant locations are Blisworth , Brackley , Grange Park , Hartwell , Rothersthorpe and Silverstone .
The district was formed on April 1, 1974 and was formed from the merger of the Municipal Borough Brackley, the Rural Districts Brackley and Towcester and part of the Rural District Northampton.
