David Braz de Oliveira Filho (born May 21, 1987 in Guarulhos , São Paulo state ), known under the name David Braz , is a Brazilian football player .
Club career
David Braz began his career in 2002 at the youth department of the traditional Brazilian club SE Palmeiras , where he was active until 2006. In 2007 he signed a professional contract with Palmeiras and moved to the club's professional squad, where he made his first division debut on February 10, 2007. A year later, the trained central defender won the São Paulo state championship . In January 2009 he moved to Europe and signed a four and a half year contract with the Greek club Panathinaikos Athens . Immediately after the engagement, however, Braz was returned to his home country at Flamengo Rio de Janeiro .
He has been under contract with league rivals FC Santos since the 2012/13 season . From 2013, however, Braz was awarded, as announced by coach Muricy Ramalho . Sivasspor loaned the defender for the 2018/19 season. In May 2019 he was transferred from FC Santos to Grêmio Porto Alegre . In return, Marinho swapped clubs.
National team
After David Braz was already active for the U-18 selection of Brazil, he took part with the U-20 team at the 2007 South American Championship in Paraguay , where he was able to take first place.
