Mário Sérgio Santos Costa , called Marinho , (born May 29, 1990 in Penedo , Alagoas ) is a Brazilian football player . The player is strong on both feet and mainly plays as a winger.

Career

Marinho started his football training at SC Corinthians Alagoano . In this club, which specializes in youth work, he was so noticed that he was signed by Fluminense Rio de Janeiro . At the age of eighteen he played his first first division games here. After just one year, the player moved to SC Internacional in Porto Alegre . Here, however, he did not get any assignments and was awarded to various lower-class clubs. It wasn't until 2014 that Série B for the Náutico Capibaribe was returned . After a stopover at Serie B club Ceará SC , he switched to defending champion Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte in the 2015 season . This was awarded to the EC Vitória in January 2016 . The loan was limited to the end of the season. The loan business was converted into a permanent move to Vitória early in June of that year. At the beginning of 2017, the Changchun Yatai from China bought Marinho for five million euros from. Marinho played his first game in the Chinese Super League on March 4, 2017 against Shanghai SIPG . In that game he was in the starting line-up. Marinho scored his first league goal in China on August 20, 2017. In the home game against Tianjin Quanjian , he scored in the 45th minute to make it 1-0 (1: 1).

Marinho returned to Brazil in June 2018. He signed a contract with Grêmio Porto Alegre with a term until 2021. In fact, he was transferred to FC Santos in May 2019 in exchange with David Braz . Marinho played his first game for Santos in Série A on June 2, 2019, the seventh matchday of the 2019 championship . In the away game against Ceará SC he came on in the 80th minute for Eduardo Sasha . On the eleventh game day he scored the first goal for Santos. On July 21, 2019, away at Botafogo FR , he came on after the half-time break and scored the only goal of the game in the 75th minute. In addition to his 27 league appearances (eight goals) that year, there was another game in the Copa do Brasil 2019 (no goal).
