Vladimir Orlando Cardoso de Araújo Filho , or Vladimir for short , (born July 16, 1989 in Bahia , Brazil ) is a Brazilian soccer goalkeeper .

Career

Vladimir started his career in 2003 in the youth class of FC Santos . In 2009 he rose to the professional league. On September 18, 2009, he signed a loan deal with Fortaleza EC . There he was never used because he was only the third goalkeeper . On February 2, 2011, he made his debut in the first division 2-2 in the game against AA Ponte Preta , he was replaced by Anderson Carvalho . He played his first full game three days later, against EC Santo André . Vladimir was able to win the biggest title in South American football with Santos with the Copa Libertadores 2011 (without a stint, five times on the bench), but did not get beyond the role of a reserve goalkeeper at the club. For the 2019 season, Vladimir was loaned to Avaí FC .
