David Browne

David Browne (born May 19, 1960 in New Jersey , USA ) is an American music journalist and author .

Life

Browne grew up in New Jersey and studied at New York University , which he left with a bachelor's degree in journalism . His minor at the university was music.

Browne began his journalistic work as the editor of Music & Sound Output magazine and was then a music critic for the New York daily Daily News . From 1990 to 2006 he was the chief critic for Entertainment Weekly . Browne wrote many reviews for other newspapers and magazines such as B. The New York Times , Rolling Stone , Spin , The New Republic and Time .

David Browne lives in Manhattan in New York .
