David Henry Currier (born April 20, 1952 in Madison , New Hampshire ) is a retired American ski racer .

Currier was part of the United States national team in the 1971/72 season . In the downhill from Kitzbühel on January 14, 1972, he achieved his only World Cup placement among the top 10. In the overall World Cup, he finished 52nd. In the same year he took part in the Winter Olympics in Sapporo , where he was 17th in the downhill and eliminated in the giant slalom . Two years later he also started the Downhill World Championship in 1974 in St. Moritz , which he finished in 29th place. In 1971 he had won the Canadian Downhill Championship. In 1973 he became US National Giant Slalom and overall champion.

Currier later worked for the ski industry. In 1976 he became managing director of Carrera Sports . He briefly appeared again in the US Pro-Ski Tour in the late 1970s . He then became vice president of sales and marketing at Volant , a ski manufacturer from Colorado .
