David Laurence Frost (born September 11, 1959 in Cape Town ) is a South African professional golfer . His more than twenty tournament victories are spread over four continents and the tournament series PGA Tour , European Tour , Sunshine Tour , Asian Tour , Japan Golf Tour and, since 2010, Champions Tour .

Frost became a professional golfer in 1981 and initially played on the local Sunshine Tour and the European Tour. From 1985 he was mainly active on the North American PGA Tour, where he was able to achieve a total of ten tournament victories. Frost meanwhile reached the top 10 of the golf world rankings and was called up to the international team at the Presidents Cup in 1994 and 1996 . As captain, he won the Alfred Dunhill Cup in 1997 and 1998 in the South African team with Ernie Els and Retief Goosen .

David Frost is married to Corrie and has five children. He also runs a prestigious winery, Frost Vineyards , in his home country and names his products after golf legends such as Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer .
