David Fussenegger (born July 18, 1808 in Dornbirn ; † September 12, 1874 there ) was an Austrian textile manufacturer and politician. From 1861 to 1864, Fussenegger was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament , a member of the Vorarlberg state committee and deputy governor.

David Fussenegger was born on July 18, 1808 as the son of the textile manufacturer Jakob Alois Fussenegger and his wife Maria Anna Ulmer in Dornbirn in the Vorarlberg Rhine Valley. In 1832 he founded the textile company David Fussenegger, which still exists under this name in Dornbirn to this day. On June 18, 1832, David Fussenegger married Karolina Danner in Dornbirn, with whom he had eight children. Fussenegger's youngest son, Karl , followed his father into community politics and was also mayor of Dornbirn from 1908 to 1910.

Politically, David Fussenegger was initially active as a community representative and councilor and finally from 1854 to 1857 as Dornbirn community leader ( mayor ). In 1861 he was elected in the first Vorarlberg state parliament as a member of the Liberals and also took over the office of governor's deputy in the Vorarlberg state committee . Fussenegger held all of these political offices until 1864. He was succeeded by Wilhelm Rhomberg as Deputy Governor and Member of the Landtag of Dornbirn, and Karl von Seyffertitz as a member of the Provincial Committee . David Fussenegger then concentrated again on managing his flourishing textile company in Dornbirn.
