Wilhelm Rhomberg (born July 29, 1825 in Dornbirn ; † September 13, 1887 there ) was an Austrian textile manufacturer and politician. From 1864 to 1867 Rhomberg was mayor of Dornbirn and member of the Vorarlberg state parliament as well as deputy governor.

Wilhelm Rhomberg was born on July 29, 1825 as the son of the Dornbirn textile manufacturer and later mayor Johann Lorenz Rhomberg and his wife Maria Katharina Luger in Dornbirn in the Vorarlberg Rhine Valley. After completing extensive professional training in Geneva and Trieste as well as in England and France, Wilhelm Rhomberg became a partner in Herrburger und Rhomberg , one of the largest textile companies in Dornbirn at the time, following the death of his father . Together with his brother-in-law Albert Rhomberg , he subsequently ran the company until around 1880.

On September 30, 1851, Wilhelm Rhomberg married Maria Emilia Rhomberg in Dornbirn, with whom he had three children. After the death of his first wife in 1856, he married for the second time on August 24, 1857. With his second wife, Maria Anna Rhomberg, he had two more children.

From 1861 Wilhelm Rhomberg was also politically active and was active as a member of the conservatives in the Dornbirn community committee. In 1864 he was elected mayor of Dornbirn, a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament in its first legislative period, and deputy governor. He succeeded David Fussenegger in the two last-mentioned functions at state level, and as mayor he succeeded his brother-in-law Albert Rhomberg . Wilhelm Rhomberg was sworn in in the state parliament on March 2, 1864 as a member of the Dornbirn market and remained a member of the state parliament and deputy governor until the end of the legislative period in 1867.
