David Livingston

David Livingston is an American television producer and director . He was best known as the producer and director of several Star Trek television series.

life and career

Livingston began his career in 1988 as a manager at Star Trek - The Next Generation . In 1992 he was promoted to supervising producer . He also had this role in the spin-off series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Raumschiff Voyager .

Livingston directed the 24th episode of the fourth season of The Next Century for the first time, and again on the 15th episode of the fifth season . He then directed 17 Deep Space Nine episodes, 28 Spaceship Voyager episodes and 14 episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise . He is also the author of the eleventh episode of Deep Space Nine , The Successor .

Parallel to his work on Star Trek , Livingston also directed several episodes of the science fiction series Seven Days between 1998 and 2001 . In 2000 Livingston wrote the script for the short film Slice of Life , which he also directed and produced. Livingston was a supervising producer on the 2002 television remake of Carrie . In 2005 he took over the production of two episodes of the science fiction series Nemesis - The attack .
