David Michael Clarke

David Michael Clarke (* 1969 in Poole , England ) is a British concept , photo and performance artist .

Clarke studied media production in Bournemouth and Glasgow University . His work includes photographs, art videos , objects , slide shows, and paintings . In 1999 he received the highly endowed Richard Hough Bursary of the Stills Gallery, Edinburgh, for a slide show . In the same year he took part in the exhibition Pixelvision. @ La Lumiere , at the Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. Numerous international exhibitions followed, including at the Transmission Gallery , Glasgow and FRAC Pays de la Loire in Carquefou ( France ), whose collection includes the two-part photo work One square meter of raw canvas with 212 stolen kisses (from Fabrice Hybert) . In 1999 Clarke moved to Nantes, where he now lives and works. He is married to the French artist Anabelle Hulaut.
