David Ortega

David Ortega , whose full name is David Ortega Arenas (born August 22, 1985 in Dortmund ), is a German scripted reality actor, model , DJ and television presenter .

Life

Ortega is of Spanish descent. He grew up with his parents, grandparents, his sister Rocio and two other sisters. The grandparents returned to Spain in his childhood.

After graduating from high school in Dortmund, Ortega initially worked as a waiter. At the age of 22 he got into the modeling industry and also began to study architecture.

Ortega was a 2011 contestant on the 11th season of the reality show Big Brother , where he spent about a month in the container. In 2012 Ortega was booked for a joint shoot with the candidates for Austria's Next Topmodel . In the same year he also took part in a series of renting, buying and living .

From 2013 to November 2014 Ortega played the role of Diego Cortez in the scripted reality series Cologne 50667 . He was part of the main cast for episodes 1-498 and had a guest appearance in episode 541. For his exit, he gave rigid contractual obligations through RTL II , and later also burnout symptoms. Since the beginning of May 2016, however, David Ortega has been back on the set of the series and has resumed his role.

After leaving the series, he took part in the casting of Deutschland sucht den Superstar in early 2015 , but left before the recall.

As of August 3, 2015, he hosted the interactive television program onMusic at YUN! Q . Ortega also works as a DJ . From January 15, 2016 to January 22, 2016, Ortega was a candidate for the reality show I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here! on RTL . There he was the first candidate to be elected by the audience by telephone. In 2016 he took part in the cooking show Das Perfekte Promi Dinner on VOX and took 1st place.

Trivia

Ortega was briefly in a relationship with Gina-Lisa Lohfink in 2011 . Then he was with the television actress Sara-Joleen Kaveh-Moghaddam , who played together with him in Cologne 50667 . The couple split in 2014. Ortega and Sara-Joleen also played a couple on the series.

His sister Rocio played the role of Lucia Cortez at Cologne 50667 .
