Adolph Heinrich von Pritzelwitz

Adolph Heinrich von Pritzelwitz (born March 20, 1727 in Schmardt , † July 28, 1787 in Berlin ) was a Prussian colonel and chief of the 4th Artillery Regiment .

Life

origin

He was the son of the Rittmeister in the Saxon-Weimar service, Kaspar Heinrich von Pritzelwitz. His father was the owner of a share in Gut Schmardt in Kreutzburg.

Military career

Pritzelwitz first attended the cadet institute and was employed in the artillery corps of the Prussian Army in 1748 . There he became second lieutenant on May 26, 1750 . During the Seven Years' War he was promoted in December 1757 to first lieutenant , was in November 1760 Staff Captain and the end of December of the following year captain . After the war, Pritzelwitz was promoted to major on May 24, 1772, and in September 1772 he became commander of the 7th Artillery Battalion. On May 10, 1778 he rose to lieutenant colonel and took part in the War of the Bavarian Succession as such . On January 1, 1785, he was ultimately colonel and chief of the 4th Artillery Regiment. He died surprisingly on July 28, 1787 in Berlin.

Pritzelwitz was married to Wilhelmine Charlotte Henriette, née von Moller († 1777). The couple had several children including:

  • Joachim Heinrich (* 1766; † January 26, 1812), Prussian captain 1802 ⚭ Henriette von Rohr from the house of Ganzer
  • Karl Ernst Otto (1776–1844), Prussian major general ⚭ 1831 Johanna Elisabeth Wilhelmine Magdalene Christiane Beate, divorced from Knesebeck, née von Bredow (1776–1856)
  • Friedrich († June 18, 1793), as ensign near Mainz
  • Helene ⚭ Alexander Wilhelm August von der Marwitz († September 25, 1827), captain, lord of Gnevikow, son of Friedrich Wilhelm Siegmund von der Marwitz
  • Bernhard Ludwig (June 2, 1787; † 1824), captain ⚭ NN von Langenn (* 1770; † December 9, 1847)
