David Oshinsky
David M. Oshinsky (* 1944 ) is an American historian and currently a member of the history faculty at the University of Texas at Austin .
David Oshinsky made in 1965 graduated from Cornell University and his doctorate in 1971 at Brandeis University for Dr. phil. He won the 2006 Pulitzer Prize in History for his 2005 book Polio : An American Story . Other books he has made include A Conspiracy So Immense: The World of Joe McCarthy , for which he received the Hardeman Prize and The Robert Kennedy Award- winning Worse Than Slavery: Parchman Farm and the Ordeal of Jim Crow Justice .
His articles and reviews appear regularly in the New York Times , the Washington Post, and the Chronicle of Higher Education .
