David Pommer (born March 8, 1993 ) is a former Austrian Nordic combined athlete .

Career

Pommer took part in the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2012 between February 20 and 26 . In the two individual competitions in Erzurum, Turkey , he finished 12th and 16th. In the team, he won the gold medal together with Franz-Josef Rehrl , Alexander Brandner and Philipp Orter .

In the 2012/13 season David Pommer made his debut on January 20, 2013 in the Nordic Combined World Cup . At the home world cup in Seefeld , she took 45th place in the Gunderson competition on the normal hill.

He ran into the points for the first time in the 2015/16 season . On December 20, 2015, he took 25th place in the Gundersen competition in Ramsau am Dachstein . Previously, on December 11th and 12th, he won the two Continental Cup competitions in the US Soldier Hollow . In the competition on December 13th, he finished second behind the American Taylor Fletcher .

At the first competition of the 2016/17 season in Ruka , he achieved his first top ten placement on November 26, 2016 with 10th place. On the first day of the Nordic Combined Triple on January 27, 2017 in Seefeld, he achieved fourth place, the best result of his career. On December 21, 2018, he announced the end of his career due to persistent knee and back problems.
