David Wilhelm Warnekros

David Wilhelm Warnekros (born June 15, 1743 in Stralsund , † November 18, 1809 in Greifswald ) was a German legal scholar and director of the Greifswald consistory .

Life

The son of Friedrich Christoph Warnekros, Altermann of the brewery company, received the ordinariate at the law faculty of the University of Greifswald in 1794 . He gave lectures on the institutions of Gaius , Pandekten and German law . In 1796 he was rector of the university. In 1797 he became assessor at the Royal Swedish Consistory in Greifswald, which he led as director from 1798.

He was married to Wilhelmine von Balthasar, daughter of Jacob Wilhelm von Balthasar (1726–1807). His son Ehregott Ulrich Warnekros studied medicine and became a professor and city physicist in Greifswald.

David Wilhelm Warnekros younger brother Heinrich Ehrenfried Warnekros was the headmaster in Greifswald.
