David de Coninck
David de Coninck or David de Koninck (* 1636 in Antwerp , † after 1701 probably in Brussels ) was a Flemish animal and still life painter .
De Koninck was a pupil of Pieter Boel in Antwerp and in 1663 became master of the local Guild of St. Luke . He painted living and dead animals, fruits, flowers and still lifes in the manner of Jan Fyt . He made trips through Germany and France and went to Rome in 1670 , from where he returned to Antwerp in 1687. In 1699 he moved to Brussels . His pictures are rare. The Imperial Gallery in Vienna owns a still life with dead ducks .
