In between is the seventh studio album by the Bayreuth band Goethes Erben .
History of origin
In between , in connection with the music theater performed in 2004, Schattendenken developed . Oswald Henke announced after the theater performance that a "shadow thinking box" was planned for the play, which, in addition to two DVDs and a children's book, should also contain a CD with the pieces played in the music theater. However, due to financial difficulties, such a box was never published. In addition, the band was already in the process of dissolution, even if this was not officially confirmed until July 2012. Instead of the announced box, the CD Dzwischen was released individually in 2005, which contains 10 pieces from the theater, two new songs and a new recording of an old piece.

Single releases
- Alptraumstudio was released in May 2005 and therefore before the actual studio album. In addition to the song in two different versions, the CD also contains two video clips. One of them is the trailer for the shadow thinking film that was still planned at the time.
- Days of Water (2006) contains four different songs as well as the two video clips for the songs Prologue to a Fairy Tale and Days of Water . The clips were used during the shadow thinking play.
- Schwarzes Wesen was not released from the in-between CD, but there is a music cassette called The Black Being from 1991, which is the original version of the song. The version on the CD in between was musically changed slightly, while the text remained the same.
