The DEGALAN Peak is a 2,470 m high mountain in the Britannia Range of the Transantarctic Mountains . It rises at the head of the Magnis Valley .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2001 after Lee DeGalan, a contract clerk in the United States Antarctic Program and in this role for more than 20 years responsible for the shipment of cargo from Port Hueneme, California .
