Port Hueneme is a small town in Ventura County in the US state of California , United States , with a population of 22,327 (as of 2017 ). At the 2010 US census , the city still had 21,723 residents. The urban area has a size of 12.1 km².
The motto of the place is: "Port Hueneme: The Friendly City By The Sea".

Events
The Hueneme Beach Festival has been taking place every year since 1998 . For entertainment there is live music, rides, games, attractions, food, stalls and exhibitions.
